E-Max Veneers: Features, Benefits, Expectations

Veneers are a common treatment solution for patients with crooked or discoloured teeth. Veneer treatments involve attaching a porcelain ‘sheathe’ to the teeth at the front of the mouth. Veneers offer a quick, easy and affordable fix and can provide a top-quality smile with very little effort.

There are a variety of veneers on the market. Mostly made from a porcelain mix, these vary in their ingredients and in their benefits. In this post we discuss what to expect from the E-Max variety of veneers. We talk about the features and benefits of the product and why you should consider E-Max veneers if you are looking to perfect your smile.

Most porcelain veneers can be manufactured and fitted within one to two visits to the dentist. After your teeth are prepared with a light sanding, the veneers are attached to the teeth using dentist’s glue. They then help to form a perfect, symmetrical smile that is appealing to all.

Veneers generally last for ten to fifteen years without needing any touch ups or readjustment. They do require regular brushing, flossing and dental check-ups, however.

E-Max veneers are another kind of porcelain veneer crafted from lithium disilicate glass ceramic. This material is also used to manufacture E-Max crowns and dentures.

The material is slightly lighter and thinner than traditional veneers and ceramic crowns. This means that patients tend to adjust a lot quicker to having the veneers in their mouth. It also implies less sanding is needed during attachment of the veneers.

The material used in E-Max veneers is also a lot stronger and can withstand impacts better than traditional porcelain veneers. E-Max veneers last for up to 20 years: slightly longer than standard dental veneers.

Perhaps the greatest product feature of E-Max veneers is their translucent colour. Traditional veneers tend to lean towards the opaque side of the spectrum. This means that can appear a little bit dull in comparison to clean natural teeth.

The semitransparent quality of Emax veneers is a closer match in tone to natural teeth. Veneers made from this material tend to blend in better and appear more real, giving you more confidence in your smile.

Composite veneers are one alternative to E-Max veneers that can be coloured to match the natural tone of your teeth. The only downside to this is the chemicals used to colour the porcelain was away with time and so the solution is not all that long-lasting.
